Last week, Annie + I headed down to La Puente to volunteer our photographic services to Northam Elementary during their Jog-A-Thon event. The purpose of the event was to help raise money for field trips and new technology. Because of budget cuts, the school has not gone on any field trips in the past 2 years. It was amazing to see how the community, not only parents and teachers but also sponsors and volunteers, gathered together to support this event. The best part of this event is that everyone gets to exercise. At one point, even the D.J., J.J. took a lap around the course and then proceeded to play ‘Cha Cha Slide’ by D.J. Casper, which had all the kids (and a couple of teachers ;-p) gathered around the playground to dance. A special shout out to our friend + Northam Elementary teacher, Alexandra Low, for organizing the whole event. It turned out to be a great success. The vendors/sponsors that helped in the cause:
