Sunflower themed Wedding at Summit House
Lindsey + Sean
Lindsey had known about us from one of our former couples, Michelle + Roland, so when the time came to plan her own wedding, she made sure to hit us up. When we met up with her and Sean for the first time, we just hit it off right away. We particularly enjoyed the story of how they met while attending UC Irvine and we were surprised at how organized these two were!
We had a blast retracing their steps that one fateful afternoon following Econ class during their engagement session at UC Irvine. We won’t ever forget that one because it was so bare on campus being Superbowl Sunday and all. =)
Getting Ready photos at Summit House
Annie and I got to the Summit House a bit earlier to check out the setup and to see how our lovely bride Lindsey was doing. She was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the bridal suite of the Summit House. Sean and his groomsmen got ready prior to getting to the venue, so we did a quick getting ready with the guys.
Pre-Ceremony Portraits at Summit House
Lindsey + Sean opted to have a first look. We decided that the best place to do it was through the pathway decorated by all the beautiful sunflowers provided and designed by Lindsey’s mom! All throughout the morning, the anticipation of seeing Lindsey must have been building up in Sean because once he turned around to see her in her wedding dress during the First Look, we was overcome with emotions.
Ceremony photos at Summit House
Things started to get interesting as guests slowly started to arrive for Lindsey + Sean’s sunflower themed wedding at Summit House. It had been extremely hot with the blazing sun all morning, but a sudden downpour of rain came out of nowhere to everyone’s surprise. It eventually stopped, everything was wiped down, and the ceremony started 20-30 later.
The ceremony itself was filled with all sorts of emotions. There was plenty of laughing and crying while the wedding vows between Lindsey + Sean were being read. Even the officiant had to step back behind the gazebo post to dry his eye for a moment.

Reception photos at Summit House
After cocktail hour, all the guests gathered into the Summit House reception area for an evening of fun and festivities. The bridal party set the fun environment with the retelling of Lindsey + Sean’s stories and the bridesmaids even liked it so much that they didn’t put a ring on it, but a song. Guests got to participate during a fun little scavenger musical chairs and everyone had a blast letting loose on the dance floor all night long!
Thanks once again Lindsey + Sean for allowing us to capture your sunflower themed wedding at Summit House. We definitely had a blast and hope that you guys stay safe and enjoy your honeymoon in St Thomas!
